Community Playgroups

PlayConnect Playgroups

PlayConnect Playgroups are for families with children aged 0-six who have needs associated with having an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or developmental delays.

Intergenerational Playgroups

Intergenerational Playgroups are delivered in aged care facilities; residents and children play together.

Organisational Playgroups

Organisational Playgroups are playgroups supported and run by community organisations such as churches.

Play Steps

Play Steps is a school based playgroup program which is based on the EYLF. Facilitator training is provided by PGQ.

Playgroups in Schools

Playgroups in Schools builds relationships between families of young children under school age in which it is held.

Toy Libraries

Toy Libraries may be used by all Playgroup Queensland members.

Step into Prep

Step into Prep is an eight-week transition-to-school program for families with children who haven’t attended a kindergarten or preschool program.

Playgroups in the Park is a program delivered in Mt Isa.

Yarrabah and Djenghi Playgroups

The Yarrabah program mobile playgroups are delivered in the isolated Indigenous community of Yarrabah south of Cairns.

Woorabinda IAS Playgroup

The Woorabinda program delivers facilitated playgroup sessions in the Woorabinda community to prepare children for school.
