Playgroup Northern Territory supports young families to learn and grow through play. Our mission is to promote and develop fun, educational experiences for babies and children through community playgroups, and to provide information and support networks for families.
Established in 1980, Playgroup NT has supported young families to learn through play for four decades. We are a not-for-profit organisation managed by a volunteer Board of Governance, and are partially funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services. Playgroup NT is an association member of Playgroup Australia, the peak representative body for playgroup organisations in Australia. Our staff consists of paid employees and invaluable community volunteers.
What We Offer
Playgroup NT offers playgroups that are supported by our staff (supported playgroups), and others that are led by volunteers (community playgroups). There are playgroups held in many locations to suit a wide range of needs, and more information can be found on our About Playgroups page. Members can start their own playgroup by contacting Playgroup NT. Throughout the year, Playgroup NT also hosts open days, workshops and community fun days. Sign up as a member to take advantage of our exciting opportunities and to begin your playgroup journey.
