Little Dragonflies

Little Dragonflies

Who is the Little Dragonflies playgroup for?

Little Dragonflies Playgroup is a neurodiversity friendly space for families who may show traits of Autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorder and/or global development delay. No formal diagnosis is required. Children between the ages of 0-5 years are welcome with their parents or caregivers.

How will the Little Dragonflies playgroup benefit our family?

This supported playgroup is designed to benefit the whole family. It is a space for families with children that have a disability or developmental concern to share their experiences, ask questions and seek advice from each other.

Little Dragonflies provides a trusted and non- judgmental playgroup where children can explore, play and have fun in their own unique ways.

The secure and safe community play spaces provide parents/carers with the opportunity to take time to relax and engage in adult conversations. This will support parents to foster friendships and social networks within the playgroup and local community.

What happens at Little Dragonflies playgroup?

Playgroup Facilitators plan a variety of activities and experiences. A range of sensory, gross and fine motor and outdoor activities will be available to encourage play and opportunities for social interaction alongside other children. Families bring morning tea for their children. There will be opportunities to have guest speakers from support services attend this playgroup to offer access and guidance to families.
